Frequently asked questions
What people ask us
Is Kayzen VPN available yet?
Soon. The applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS will be published on this site and on the official stores. In the meantime, discover our commitments and the limits of the free tier.
When will it be available?
Soon. We will announce the launch date on this site as soon as the essential security criteria (zero leaks, kill switch) have been measured.
How much will Kayzen VPN cost?
The basic tier is free, with no time limit. The price of the paid tier, which funds it, will be published before sales open.
What are the limits of the free tier?
10 GB per 30-day period, 8 countries, 1 device, K-Shield DNS filter included, peer-to-peer reserved for the paid tier. Once the quota is reached, the free connection is cut until the next period.
Do I need an e-mail address?
No. Your account is a random 16-digit number. Make a careful note of it: we cannot recover it for you.
Does Kayzen VPN keep logs?
The objective is to keep no activity or connection logs. For the free tier, only a total of bytes for the current period is kept per account. This criterion (C3) will remain ‘not proven’ until an external audit.
Which protocol does Kayzen VPN use?
The WireGuard® protocol, without modification. Kayzen VPN is based on this protocol; ‘WireGuard’ is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld.
Can I watch foreign streaming catalogues?
We do not promise that, and we will never present this use as a feature.
Is peer-to-peer (torrenting) allowed?
It will be reserved for the paid tier, on dedicated servers. We do not inspect your traffic to detect it.
Does France protect my data better?
We claim no legal advantage: France is one of the ‘14 Eyes’. Our protection rests on collecting no data.
Will the code be public?
Yes, the code of the applications and server scripts will be published. KAYZEN remains its owner; the licence is currently being chosen.
What is the link with Kayzen Security?
Kayzen VPN is a KAYZEN product, like Kayzen Security and Sésame. It includes Kayzen Security’s K-Shield DNS filter.
